We are an NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Service provided by South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust.

We offer talking therapies for people aged 16 and over in Gateshead who are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression.

English not your first language? – Please contact your GP to refer you to our service, detailing your needs.  Translation and interpretation support is available when you begin your therapy appointments.

  • Complete a Self Assessment Form (we only accept word or PDF format)and send it to Gateshead Talking Therapies
  • Speak to your GP who can refer you to Talking Therapies

We are able to email you questionnaires and resources (as appropriate) in order to save you time in appointments and improve your treatment. If you wish to receive emails from us then we need your permission in advance.

If you would like to find out more information about this service, you can speak to a Duty Officer between 9.00 – 4.45pm Monday to Friday.
